Cleaning Policy:
The price of the dress includes spot cleaning and steaming.
It also includes any minor repairs that can be provided by the curator to include:
· Button replacement
· Seam restitching or reinforcement
· Other minor repairs deemed doable by the curator.
The price does not include:
- Professional cleaning, pressing or steaming
· Required or requested alterations or extensive repairs
· Custom embellishments (i.e. lace, appliqués, beading, etc.) will be an additional charge based on the extensiveness and cost of the materials and labor.
Although most stains and age-related discoloration are removable in the cleaning process, there are no guarantees.
Once a dress has been selected in which professional cleaning is required or requested, the purchaser may choose to send the dress to the cleaner of their choice or the preferred cleaner of the boutique. Either way, the curator will accompany the garment to point out the particular needs of the garment. A $75 cleaning deposit is required before cleaning.
The $75.00 deposit is refundable if:
· Stains are not removable
· The integrity of the fabrics are damaged or questionable.
The $75.00 deposit is not refundable if:
The dress returns from the cleaners in wearable condition and the purchaser has had a change of mind, plans, or heart.Victorian Lace accepts consignments of wearable vintage bridal attire.
